Get really good at land nav. Pack as light as possible without sacrificing any critical gear. Endurance is key, be prepared for a lot of rough miles. The podcasts mentioned above are great, also follow Competition Dynamics on social media for announcements and maybe even little hints here and there.
Anyone who stuck it out in those conditions yesterday should be damned proud. All of the shooters did a great job of sticking with it, without such great additudes the match couldn't have ran nearly as smooth as it did. Thanks all, from W-7.
I like #1, or one carbine, one pistol with rifle guy using rifle/pistol on and carbine guy remaining with his carbine on assault stages. And/or let's make a mortar stage. Katanas and ninja stars? A stage utilizing just baseball bats? Let's get wild, I'll fill your head with awesome ideas!!
Just yesterday I had a brand new shooter make contact on an MOA sized diamond with his third shot using the FGM 168s through my Rem. mil spec 5r. We, however, were at over 6000' elevation.

Jimmy, your stage was rad! I smoked through the pistol then wasted probably 40 sec. on the dumb rifle target...... Stupid. I slung rifle across my back w/ muzzle up.
