Structural/Mechanical Engineer turned Real Estate Developer who semi-retired a few years ago to a small ranch in Southern Washington where I enjoy pretending to know what I'm doing (we still keep a home in Portland, OR for the occasional trip to the City and family gatherings).

Hobbies/obsessions include firearms and firearm training, sharp pointy things and well designed and well built mechanical trinkets. I'm an all around avid outdoor enthusiast who grew up hiking and hunting up in the backwoods of Idaho, Montana and Wyoming.

I am well aware my input lacks the perspective and experience typical of most of the SH community. Therefore, I'll rarely participate in conversations and, instead, choose to read and learn.
