    Barreled Action and Chassis Help

I just picked up a Solus action and it competes well against my Origin action and CDG action. If I was on a budget and building a bolt gun, it would be my first choice without a doubt. Especially considering I bought the action with tax and shipping under $600. Same place has a barreled 6.5...

    ARC Coup De Grâce question

I've tried savage small shank threaded barrels on my CDG in .308, 6.5 Creed, .260, and 6 dasher and all feed from AICS magpul magazines without issue. All of the above chambered without issue if I ran the bolt slow, fast, or anything in between. I haven't tried on a .223 though but...

Coup De Grace Savage Small Shank Barrels

The Dasher barrel isn't an origin pre-fit from PVA, it will be a Savage small shank. Will be a few weeks before they have it spun up for me, but I'll keep the thread updated. Speaking of origin pre-fits, I noticed that if someone came up with a spacer/collar that fit on the origin barrel...

Coup De Grace Savage Small Shank Barrels

Tested out my CDG action with a Proof Origin .308 pre-fit loading .260 140 Nosler CC set to max mag length and it feeds without a problem. In fact it was very smooth no matter the bolt speed. Granted it isn't a .260 chambered barrel, but I don't think that is going to make a difference...

Coup De Grace Savage Small Shank Barrels

If .308 feeds without a problem for me, I don't see a reason why .260 would have a problem. I don't have a small shank .260 barrel, but I do have some hand loads I could test to see how it feeds into my .308 small shank barrel. Let me know if this would help. FYI, I'm running my CDG on a MDT...

Coup De Grace Savage Small Shank Barrels

Yes, the threads from my Origin action are perfect for the CDG. I know it will thread up alright, just seeing how many people have done this and their results. I saw another post where a guy said he used a Savage small shank 6.5 Creed in his CDG without issue, but didn't know if this was the...

Coup De Grace Savage Small Shank Barrels

I purchased a CDG action based on all of the positive reviews here and although I haven't been able to shoot it, it does seem like a top tier action. My one challenge with the action is finding barrels readily available. I have a 6.5 Creed being spun up by a smith, but not sure when that is...

Cadex Defence, flaunt it if you've got it!

Yes, 20 MOA. I would think they still offer it but might be hard to find. I think I bought mine back in 2019. I'm pretty sure I had to special order it, which takes some time.

Cadex Defence, flaunt it if you've got it!

Yeah, I added it to both of my competition chassis. The pick below is a HS action with the Rem700 pic rail and I also have a Stiller action with the Stiller specific pic rail. Note the 700 rail comes drilled for #6 screws. The Still rail came drilled for #8 screws. I like them both as it...

    Rifle Scopes Crimson Trace?

I picked up the 3-Series 1-5x that were on sale for $349 and it turned out to be a good buy. Still haven't mounted it, but the glass looks good, the knows rotate well, and the illumination is daylight useable. I took a hard look at the other ones that are being clearance and found several bad...

    Primer loaders

I bought the DAA Primer-Pro Collator a couple of months ago as loading primer tubes was driving me insane. I read the good and the bad reviews and figured I would take a chance as it seamed the problems were associated with not cleaning the devise and early learning curves. Since I have...

First custom and need some advice

Just my humble advise, I've been in and out of long range shooting for over 20 years and although I'm not an expert I've thrown my money into everything from a Browning A-Bolt to full custom rifles. You first thought should be what are you going to do with the rifle. There can be a big...
