    Secret Service “JAR” rifle

They’re both niche companies that used novel technologies. I can see how they could be confused….but having spoken at length with the LRB folks I feel pretty confident that tungsten core (sintered, powdered or solid) was not their tech.

    Secret Service “JAR” rifle

El Rey is alive and well too! LRB made copper solids. You're referring to PRL. I'd heard Carl was playing with PRL's...but didn't know the backstory. PRL made bullets down to 22 caliber. They created some buzz in the highpower world with their 224 87gr with the form factor of a 69 sierra.

    M855A1 Accuracy and Velocity

I appreciate the critical review and dissection of M855A1. I recall about 10 years back, the Army Ammo Development folks sent Rob Harbison to Camp Perry to demonstrate the capabilities of the new M855A1 round. Harbison is retired from the USAMU and shot on their International team against the...

    SOLD Bulletseeker Mach4 - $350 shipped

I'm the buyer of this Bulletseeker. DairyDictator was good to work with. Responded to questions promptly, shipped quickly, and treated me very fairly. The BulletSeeker works just as described, and I just might be okay not getting a Garmin Xero for a while :)

    Garmin Xero C1 Pro chronograph

Too cool...you gonna dress him up as a Xero next year? Ya' know, I've used Garmin products for years, and they've been solid and CS has been outstanding. But I've always thought they were selling tech that was too susceptible to electronics obsolescence (does anyone use a dashboard GPS...

    Garmin Xero C1 Pro chronograph

Garmin rolled out Q3 earnings today which was strong and ahead of projections and showed growth of 14% vs prior year. Stuff investors like to see. I'd like to think that the launch of the Xero had something to do with this growth, but realistically it's too early and too small. They cite the...

    Garmin Xero C1 Pro chronograph

Lab Radar is made by Infinition (as mentioned above from Canada). It's like if Weibel made a consumer Doppler Chrono. I'm actually surprised that Infinition put effort into the consumer market as their typical chrono is more along the lines of what you'd see at Aberdeen and White Sands. An...

best value in all around aftermarket ar15 trigger

Re: best value in all around aftermarket ar15 trigger As a highpower competitor and a trigger freak, I've had more than my share of AR triggers. What I've learned over the years is that trigger preferences are kinda individual. In Service Rifle Competition, we're limited to a 4.5 minimum...

Advanced Marksmanship Success in Service Rifle Comps?

Re: Success in Service Rifle Comps? kraig, 5.1.6 is a CMP Rule and applies only to CMP sanctioned matches. Under 5.1.6, CMP rules take precedence in CMP Matches only. In NRA Matches, NRA rules are the only ones followed except as prescribed in NRA Rule 3.1.3 which doesn't come into play...

    6BR on the AR-15

Re: 6BR on the AR-15 I have an upper in 6BR. It's based on Oly upper parts and built by Holliger. Shoots standard BR cases, no turned rims. The biggest concern should be mags. If you are considering a build, make sure you sort the mags out before you commit to a path. Mine feeds and...
