JB WELD , Rocksett, etc...ARE Not considered a legal way to attatch a brake in CT. Only pinning/welded or silver soldered. As far as gunsmiths, I've got a good one that is fantastic, cheap, and quick.

Noveske uses a flash hider which is illegal. You would need a muzzle brake pinned/welded as well as the stock pinned. Both need to be done BEFORE entering the state, or transferred to a gunsmith that will make it compliant before legally transferring it to you.

I've heard nothing but decent things from the new CMMG.308 offerings.. Otherwise look at the DPMS products, accepts pmags, and decent accuracy at a cheap price point.
