    Gunsmithing Short Magnums

    Of all the WSM's, I like the 325 the best myself. There are far too many equal or better .308 and .284's out there already. The .323 (8mm) is an excellent caliber and too few are used in NA. I have found it to be extremely accurate, although it's main purpose for me is moose hunting. Lol

    We live in a world of tolerances, not absolutes, keeping the tolerances minimal in each stage is what matters. From quality components, to sticking all those components together, to the nut behind the trigger, it all matters. It's when the tolerances become great, and compound upon each other...

    Gunsmithing Gunsmiths - What brand caliper do you use?

    Even the best calipers are just guestimators anyway, for anything requiring precision use mics. Anyhow, I have come to prefer Mitutoyo over Starret or B&S or Fowler, just has a nicer feel, I also prefer dial calipers 99% of the time.
