    Caliber choice for a M700 Ti action (long)?

    6.5x284 for me. Retumbo and berger 140's and your good to go. My dad uses it for everything from antelope to elk. Took a bull at 805 yds this year no problem.

    Magneto speed v2 for me too. It makes load development so easy. I did not notice any change on group size but all my barrels are heavy contour.

    You are probally going to have to get the dies and brass from gunwerks since they are the ones that really are making this caliber popular. They use all hornady also. Your best bet would be to call them and ask because they are all real good guys and willing to help out. Good luck and the reason...

    good deer/elk caliber

    I'm going to be different and say 6.5x284. I have been using it for the past 2 years and have taken everything from antelope to elk with it. It is perfect in a long action and there is lapua brass. Load up some 140 berger vlds with some retumbo and you at 3000 fps with the 140s.

    Well I wish I would have known these were ai mk1 magazines. I have a 300wsm and I just got my bottom metal and magazine. They definitely will not work. I guess I'll have to figure something else out for bottom metal. It looked really nice so if you have a 308 or similar it will work great. Now...

    But with the 6.5 x284 you just buy some lapua brass some 140s retumbo and your set. Pretty easy.
