    Re: Need advice on budget scope for 338 RUM So what you are saying for 500 bucks will not cut it for 338? So what do you recommend for a budget scope if there is such a thing? I already have both of those rifles in the safe and reload so ammo is not an issue. Don't plan on selling the rum.

    Re: Need advice on budget scope for 338 RUM I do have a Vortex crossfire 6-24 on my AR that I was thinking of robbing but from what I have heard it might not with stand the recoil.

    I had a 700 300 WM action that I want to convert to a 338 RUM. What do I cut the feed rails to? I do not have a reference gun. I have a Kreiger barrel chambered but just need to know th feed rail dimensions.
