Barrel speeding up
My take on this- when a quality barrel is new, it is lapped smooth and linear with the rifling. As you break in a 6MM SLR (as an example) the throat will become "tiled" or "flame checked", and as this happens what we see as the "cracks" are actually displacing material making the bore and groove...- Code
