I have an ultimate varmint on my savage. It's not a bad stock, but it's not great either. If you're justmusing it on the range it's fine, but it's too heavy to lug around in the field all day. I plan to get rid of it and send it off to stockade.

I know where that is! I've hit that gong before. It's hard to see with open sights.
I wish I could get my wife more interested in shooting. She doesn't mind it, but most of the time she's "meh".

i suggest using WIN brass too. i was using FED brass and i was getting pressure signs at 48gr. Falar suggested switching to WIN brass and i've been able to get up to 50gr without any pressure signs.

Ok, so I bought some winchester brass and that did the trick. 50gr with no pressure signs and 3/4 MOA at 300yds. Thank y'all!
