I had wanted to go with the DRO, but when it came down to a choice between tooling and that I went with the tooling. Just wanted to be up and running as quick as possible.
+1 on that. You mentioned starting with a short action set up for .223. Aside from the bolt face, you would have to change the feed rails as well. At that point it's really not worth it when one can find an action as common as a R700 with a .473 bolt face.

Re: Mcmillan coyote camo? Often times you can e-mail them a picture of a similar stock (to what you want) which you find here or on the net. Then they will do their best to match it. Worked out for me the last time.

Anyone know the difference between these two? I checked out the CZ site and really couldn't see one. There must be something because I priced the 452 out at $400 and the 453 at $500.
