    Can a PWS T3 receiver be used on a Ruger Takedown?

    If you know or are a talented machinist, I believe the T-3 receiver could be adapted to what you need. If you don't mind a bit of fuglinless, it might be easier to have a handle adapted onto the 10/22 bolt that could be manipulated to lock into something on the receiver.

    That is 100% bad. The threads on mine were as good as you'd find on fine threaded hardware store fasteners.

    In terms of keeping a fastener "in place" rough threads are a good thing, especially since the torque applied is so low. Does the roughness appear to inhibit the bolt from going in properly?

    Friedrich's Record-Setting Rimfires I found this small article to be a good reference point for optimizing a 22LR. This guy was able to shoot perfect scores with a 16.5" barrel.
