I was wondering about this stuff since it's being clearanced out at Palmetto right now Their 62gr steel-free 5.56 seems to get the thumbs up and I was hoping this did too.
If you know or are a talented machinist, I believe the T-3 receiver could be adapted to what you need. If you don't mind a bit of fuglinless, it might be easier to have a handle adapted onto the 10/22 bolt that could be manipulated to lock into something on the receiver.
In terms of keeping a fastener "in place" rough threads are a good thing, especially since the torque applied is so low. Does the roughness appear to inhibit the bolt from going in properly?
