I bought the ELR and the ELR Mini. I wish I would have gotten both in the ELR, I have not used the mini it is just a tad too small for my liking....

I get it, but I still think in the pitch black that knowing the range would be important. Especially with a BO.

There is no LRF on the thermion correct? Hunting with thermals without ranging capability I think would be pretty tough unless you soley hunted in areas with sub 150 yard targets.

I agree 100% STAY AWAY from a center column, especially for huting. You most likely will not be able to get low enough if you are sitting or neeling. To me a RRS tripod has more advantage to me hunting than PRS or range shooting. They are light, stable and can get down low. I also have my...

Yes I surely think that it is. I just do not care for the pyrex powder hopper because the plastic Lyman one is way harder to break. My brother broke his pyrex hopper that was full of powder. It made a mess.
