Habits and actions do carry on. During Bike Fest in Myrtle Beach this past Memorial Day weekend, we have hundreds of fights, Veteran's celebrations disrupted, and three murders. Most stores ended up looking like the one in the video. It's too bad that the kids have to see crap like this. They...
Is anyone having trouble getting Trail Boss powder??? I want to load some sub sonic rounds for my TC pistol in .308 while I wait to get one of Ross' brakes installed. I have looked at all of my usual dealers and have no luck.
The Encore is supposed to be delivered today. Just waiting for the call from the gun shop to go get it. I'll let you know after I shoot it. Should be a beast at 300 yards.
Well it looks like jumped ship on this one. I'm still will be shooting a .308 just a little different than most shoot here. I picked up a Thompson Encore in .308 with 15" barrel and a 2-8x32 scope. I will keep shooting farther distance just not as far as I have been. Only thing this will need...
Has anyone been shooting a .308 out past 200 yards? I'm going to try shooting longer range with a Thompson. As soon as I get back to work, I'm going to replace my Rem 700 that I just sold with an Thompson Encore with a 14" barrel. I will probably get it threaded and get muzzle brake for it.
Where should I start. Colt Trooper Mk3, Colt MK4 Series 70 45 ACP, S&W 629, Browning HP, Para Ord carry 12 and the worst one of all was a Sig/Sauer SSG 3000. There were others, but these were ones I should have really kept.
Thanks for all of the good info. I bought this to help out a guy that needed some cash. I told him it would really just be a loan. Hopefully he wants it back. Steve
I was thinking about loading some 125gr rounds in it, just a little hotter than normal to see if it will cycle ok. I think the 180's will just beat up the action due to the heavy recoil. I will experiment with different loads to find the best combination.
i took it apart last night and the rails look pretty good. The gun needs a good cleaning. That wasn't done often if at all. Time will tell if I got a good deal or a lemon.
Is anyone shooting a Remington 742 Woodsmaster? I just picked one up in 30-06 from a guy I work with. It has a Leupold vari x II 3-9 40mm scope. I haven't shot it yet, but looks like a lot of fun. I'm going to go hog hunting with it sometime soon. We have a wild pig problem in SC too. My turn...
I shoot a P220ST and a P229R. The weight of the ST is great of long shooting sessions. I just like the feel of the Sig. The grip angle fits how I shoot. Make sure you handle each one on your list before you buy. Fit and function usually outweighs a name. If it works for you, buy it.
fiveoshooter is GTG. great sale, always kept me informed on transaction. I will deal with him with no reservations. the gun was as described, great guy to deal with.
