Watch Out for Scammers!
We've now added a color code for all accounts. Orange accounts are new members, Blue are full members, and Green are Supporters. If you get a message about a sale from an orange account, make sure you pay attention before sending any money!
I stumbled upon what is apparently a rare Bisley, in .357 mag with a 7.5" barrel at a gun show. (not a Vaquero, a regular Bisley BH, cylinder is fluted... hmm... anyway...) I've only found one other one even pictured on the internet... it was stainless, this one we have is blued (it's actually...
I looked at that thread as well. Shooters of flat based bullets who are particularly worried about BC have done one of two things: They've either chosen the wrong projectile for their purpose, or they're revealing their novice as to what's important in a bullet for short to intermediate...
looks like a scatter node at 42.4 grains, pointing backward toward an OCW at 41.8 grains, and forward toward the next node at 43.0 grains. It's pretty straight-forward. :) 44.2 would be the next node... it's going to be hotter of course, but the node should be there.
Thanks for the feedback... keep it coming, either here, or in PM's or emails (most of the comments are coming through emails, which is fine). On the Bullseye Challenge... next match, we'll place the "KNOW YOUR LIMITS" Bullseye Challenge in between stations 1 and 2, so it will be central to all...
Thanks Jon, for the input. I'll give some thought to the 100, 90, 80 thing... but we'd probably do 100, 80, 60, with the third shooter being given the 20 second/one shot chance to get that 60 points. This stage needs to move pretty fast, as we're cycling 45 shooters through it. The objective...
More from the seventh stage, The Quick and the Dead... check this out... about .25 seconds between the 100 point and 80 point impacts. Listen to the 2 dings return from the 900 yard steel, showing how close these two guys were...
Good to know, Tim. Thanks to Frank and Maxine, much appreciated. Taking feedback from the shooters... some love stage 7 (the quick and the dead), and some hate it. We do need to modify that stage for the next Guardian. Here's what we're going to do: After completion of the first six...
Just got word the Guardian match raised over 10,000 dollars for Bethany, to help them fund adoptions for children without homes. Thanks to all who participated, scores will be posted very soon. Gary Larson has the excel sheet. Congratulations to Matthew Gervais and Matthew Fisher for topping...
definitely want to bring some rain gear... and take a look at these t-shirts, they go off sale on September 16th... :) http://booster.com/bangsteel-non-golfer
just put the vertical crosshair on a known plumb line... (hang a rope in a tree with a weight on the end of it, or use a radio tower or something you know is plumb to gravity), and index the scope level to that position. as far as leveling the scope to the rifle itself, that's something that...
