Oh yeah, shoot the fuck outta this one. Was out with a friend the other day and his kids shot it all day long Their only experience was with .22 rifles at Boy Scout Camp. They were knocking steel at 300 yds all day long. It's definitely kind of cheating with the VCOG...

I do have a Tavor 7 and while I like it, it weighs 9 lbs sans scope. Add a VCOG or a Nightforce LPVO to it and it’s 11 lbs. I’d hate to carry that all day. The Tavor X95 and they Steyr Aug are about 8 lbs. vs an M4 at less than 7.

Thx, I’m about as far south as you can get in SC down in the low country, pretty close to Savannah. Clinton is about a 4-hour drive for me… :( Fort Stewart has a 1000-yd range they occasional open up to mere mortals. I do kick myself for not doing 20 and being able to go over there all the time...

Well, yeah, I guess. Lol. But mostly to say that the Aug & Tavor were equally reliable/durable imho.

I really really enjoy the SCO VCOG (1-8) and have it on an HK 556 in this photo. I have the 1-6 VCOG on a Colt SBR and the glass isn’t as nice as the x8 version. I like the SCO VCOG so much I bought another one for a different rifle…

I realize this is a bit of a dated thread, yet for all the negatives that you’ll read about for both the Tavor & the Aug (not necessarily in this thread, but on the internet), you’re generally reading from guys in their mom’s basement as both the Aug and the Tavor have plenty of real world...
