Re: SHWW Group I'm up for shooting anytime up north, I could also probably get out to EBurg soon also. If anyone wants to go in the next week or two lemme know.
Re: 308 Win, 208 AMax, RL17 Definently longer is better for this bullet. 2.810 is pretty short considering it is a Savage. As mentioned before I'm out at 2.93x, which is sitting in my lands, fed well from my 3.00 Savage mag.
Re: SHWW Group Yeah I'm doing the same, so I think I could set something up just like yours for doing it in my car. If I'm at the range it dosen't matter as I have a bench to c-clamp to, but I don't always have Mayday's truck to use !
Re: SHWW Group Awesome. That gives me some ideas of using it witn my vehicle. My jeep dosent have any thing good to mount to. Is it heavy enough to keep from rocking around or do you secure it somehow?
Re: 308 Win, 208 AMax, RL17 Absolutely no pressure signs at my 46.4 charge weight. I didn't get any pressure signs at all until about 48.5 grains, where most people start to get them. IIRC Winchester brass has the most capacity so you get a little more capacity there. I had a decently good...

Re: SHWW Group Yeah Happy Birthday J. We had a lot of fun up there, I would have come up tomorrow also but today worked out for Brian and I so we went with it.
Re: SHWW Group There is a little bit better shot of my portable set-up. Its a cheap lee press, all I use it for is seating my bullets. I just bring fully processed brass with me throw a charge off the Harrell and seat. Like I said once I figured my charge weight I loaded a bunch up, hit...
Re: SHWW Group Nice! You can see our makeshift rain cover, it worked quite well. I brought my portable reloading set-up, and dialed in a decent peforming load. The wind wasn't blowing too hard at all, but it kept picking up from nothing to just a little so that 1100 yard section was pretty...
Re: 308 Win, 208 AMax, RL17 Well I found a great preforming load today. It was actually at a much lower spot pressure wise, which is a good thing IMO. 46.4 grains of RL-17, bullets seated in the lands (2.213 to ogive). Surprisingly it took me 18.5 MOA to get to 775 yards. After inputting all...
Re: First range report with the AIAW 338Lapua I was going to comment that looks like Snoqualmie Valley, I shoot out there sometimes too. I was out there the day after you doing some load development. Look forward to seeing what that can do over the real long distances!
