Savanah area long range shooting sites?

Thanks for the info. Do you know if it's a private range, or if there is a membership requirement? I have people in the Savanah area (Tybee & Wilmington islands), and frequently travel through the (Swainsboro) area. It'd sure be worth swinging by to check Out. Don Black

Savanah area long range shooting sites?

Been thinking lately about possibly relocating to Georgia coastal area, but I've not had much luck trying to find any clubs or shooting associations to accomodate long range precision shooting. Anyone know of any in that general area? Don Black

    96 caliber

Dunno if it's been posted before, but one of me shootin' buds sent me this link & thought I'd pass it on. Doesn't look quite as bad as the T-Rex, but still think I'd pass on it. http://www.staged.com/video?v=q0eb

Gunsmithing Who does good barrel work on gas guns?

Re: Who does good barrel work on gas guns? You'd stand a better chance of getting a response to your question if you filled in your profile, with your location. Thre are good smiths all over the continent, y'know. Wouldn't make much sense to ship your rifle across the country only to find out...

    Copper prices

Re: Copper prices "Raw metals in increased manufacturing costs contributed, I would think, but the producers have exaggerated these factors and the rest is <span style="color: #CC0000">gouging</span>." That's the way I see it.

    Copper prices

This morning, after a leisurely session of turning money into noise out on the 600 yard range, we (a group of retired old farts) were sitting under fans at the clubhouse, solving most of the world problems in order of their importance. The discussion eventually turned to the ever increasing cost...

Gunsmithing Thoughts on hand lapping factory barrels?

Re: Thoughts on hand lapping factory barrels? I'd go with the "if it ain't broke,---" consensus here. <span style="color: #CC0000">"I think I'm about at the limits of what this rifle will do. It isn't bedded yet, either. I'm almost afraid to do it, lol."</span> Interesting statement. That's...

Gunsmithing Surface rust....at least I hope it's just surface

Re: Surface rust....at least I hope it's just surface The oil & steel wool suggestions are the way to go. That looks like it's been exposed to an acidic environment (sulfuric, nitric, muratic, or some such). Check for any open or unsealed chemical containers in the area.
