Ruger 10/22 Competition Rifle (Ruger Custom Shop)

Looks like Ruger released another one...

    CZ 457

Does the AT-ONE not already have metal pillars? The MTR stock does. As well as a recoil lug at the rear of the action that's so loose I doubt it does much... But it's there.

Choice of Cz 457 and optic

The ProVarmint has a more vertical grip, a notch on the bottom of the stock, and two studs on the forend (sling + bipod). I don't shoot PRS or NRL22, but I can image those features being more desirable. It's cheaper as well, which frees up a few more bucks so you can afford the pimpin deal on...

Rifle Scopes Vortex Pro series 30mm Rings

They're good. I'd use them again.

    Glass for Vudoo ??

Elevation is the Achilles heel of that scope. I had to get creative with a sloped base + signature zee rings to squeeze every last bit of elevation out of mine.

    Cleaning Rod Selection

    I use a ProShot 20 cal rod.

Ruger 10/22 Competition Rifle (Ruger Custom Shop)

Picked mine up this morning. Rings should arrive today. Ruger demonstrates the proper way to install a bipod stud. I wish CZ would go this route, especially since they're all about nice wood.

Very nice. The ring height is perfect.

    Different headspace readings.

Spin and/or slightly wiggle the brass in the gauge until you've obtained the smallest reading. Also, pinch directly on the blades to close the calipers tighter. On my cheap calipers I get some flex (variance) if I use too much force on the wheel.

There's also 30 moa of slant you'll have to consider. Would you mind following up with your results using those 0.90" rings? That's a good reference to have.

About to get into reloading need advise on dies

My Lee dies require more pampering to prevent surface rust. There isn't a lot of effort spent on the exterior finish, who cares. The interior polish of the Lee FL sizing die is downright incredibly good. Think smoother operating. Their bullet seating die uses an o-ring to make up for loosely cut...

    Wet medium

I just switched to ultrasonic for this, and other reasons. I can't be inspecting every case like a peasant! :p I guess we'll see if the brass even looks remotely as good. But I'm prepared for a reduction in performance.

About to get into reloading need advise on dies

Also Johnny's Reloading Bench (another YouTube channel) is currently in the process of working through various 308 loads. Good stuff!

Deciding on a Compass Lake Engineering chamber for a AR-15

For me it's like this... There is a chance not all factory loads will chamber, or might chamber the bullet in the lands, in a CLE match chamber. If you're only shooting factory ammo, why mess with it? Get the Wylde, as it's still really good. If you're shooting reloads and factory ammo, still...
