    Remington 700 bottom metal alternative

Re: Remington 700 bottom metal alternative I haven't been following the hide for about 3 months. From the posts that I missed, there still isn't a gunsmith we can ship our stocks to get inletted for the Atlasworx. Is that correct, or did I miss something?

    10FCP 5R HS-Precision stock

Re: 10FCP 5R HS-Precision stock The Savage 5R and its variants are not listed on Savage's website, just like how the Remington 5R is not listed on Remington's website. Savage's model number for the 5R HS Precision is 19056. I believe it is still available.

Rifle Scopes Zeiss 6.5-20x50 MOA Help

Re: Zeiss 6.5-20x50 MOA Help 20 MOA base and low (0.76") rings will work. I use Seekins Precision low rings on all my Zeiss Conquest 6.5-20x50 scopes. You will be very close to bottoming out the scope with a 100 yard zero.

    Recoil Wimp w/Question

Re: Recoil Wimp w/Question This is the Bell and Carlson stock I had on the rifle. I like the forend on it, but hate the grip. I like the grip on the medalist stock but hate the ugly forend. In practicality, I should have gone with the medalist to have a more comfortable grip.

Not a good 1st post...but I need to vent. Remingt

Re: Not a good 1st post...but I need to vent. Remingt After reading about your problem, I made it a priority to see if I had the same problem in case I had to send it off to Remington for 6-8 weeks. I finally pulled out my old extractor. I tried loading an empty case without the extractor...

Rifle Scopes What did I do wrong here?

Re: What did I do wrong here? It's going to have a lot of clearance either way. A 40mm or 44mm objective will always have extra clearance even with low rings.

Rifle Scopes What did I do wrong here?

Re: What did I do wrong here? Yes, the sporter barrel has more taper than the varmint barrel. In order for your calculation to be more accurate, you need ring height from base to center of ring and not base to bottom of ring. 0.5" is the measurement from base to bottom of ring.
