I would agree it would have been nice to be part of the design but it isn't. I asked Bergara and they said don't do it. But now that you have a broken pin, can you use it to dry fire and install the new one to go shoot?
I don't think he is trolling you. I would take a second one in a heartbeat. If you have dry fired it at all, you will potentially break the firing pin.

I had to use the largest screwdriver I had that fits in the hole and really use some leverage to get the initial movement started. Once you pop them, the next time is easier.
Is your scope knob directly over the chamber port? I have had several rimfires when this is the case, the brass is bouncing off the scope and back into the chamber.

For you guys using the Bravo and x-ray, are you adjusting the mag wells as small as possible?. There are two different adjustments to make the magwell smaller.
