    Anyone load 7.5x55 Swiss?

I’ve yet to find a combination that shoots poorly. On the first go with the 4350, I recall looking at the groups and trying to guess if it was me or the load. They were all well under 2-3 inches...

    Anyone load 7.5x55 Swiss?

Trying to recall where the RL17 data is from. The source might be the Swiss Rifle forum or the SwissProducts website. Whatever it was, I deemed it legit enough to load. I’m pretty conservative when it comes to this stuff.

    Anyone load 7.5x55 Swiss?

Thank you. For those who’ve been here before...it’s an “adjustment” as you know. Spent the fall hunting birds and working on the 40 year old ”Honey-Do” list. For various reasons, life seemed to come to a grinding halt about 2019. Anyhow.... Im looking forward to diving into the K11. I...

    Anyone load 7.5x55 Swiss?

You went to Simpson’s didn’t you.....🤫 lol Life made me a bit absent from here, but retirement fixed all that. 👍 I literally dug my 1911 and K11 out of the safe yesterday. Dusted off the load notes. Dug out the dies. Prepped some 3 year old cases. I had a phenomenal loading using: Federal...

    New Aquisition

Thanks all. I still have a bit to go on it, but that can be accomplished assembled I think. I really wanted to get out and shoot it this week to see where it stands. The bore was pretty good, but I did do some applications of WipeOut along with some plain old Hoppes and those copper infused...

    New Aquisition

Detail stripped and cleaned. Wood coming along nicely but needs more work to draw out some of the dirt. Hopefully put some rounds down it this week.

Very neat and interesting pice of history. I subscribe to Ian’s channel, always good stuff there to learn.

Question on status of museum ship guns

Interesting question. It's not like you can go down to WalMart and buy ammo for it tho...not that the .gov would apply common sense tho either. I do recall years back there was a semi-local bruhaha over a motar on display at a park that was discovered to not be demilled. Can you buy a...

    New Aquisition

Not snipery, but definitely antiquiey. I wanted a K11 short rifle to go along with it's longer 1911 brother. Found a few at Simpsons and made a road trip. Picked up what I originally thought to be low serial numbered (16xxx) rifle with a strong bore, some faded bluing, and nice tiger striping...

Is it live or is it Memorex?

From the “Gee Wiz” department comes this: Do you know who invented the 8 track player? Hint: CJ610 My buddy Joe had one in his 1974 Gran Torino. Lots of memories there ranging from Milwauke’s Best to John Prine and SkunkScent in the boys 3rd floor bathroom....

    Hector Cafferata Shoot

The first thing I noticed in those two pictures of him was the determination in his eyes. The first was obviously a pose. The second? At that point in his life...that’s not a pose. It’s natural. RIP

    ZFK55, a swiss tack driver !

I had a box of factory PPU that I initially ran them my 1911 when I first got it. It was $36.99/box. I never bought another. Lol. It hit a 8” steel plate at 100yds off the porch. That was my extent of it’s capabilities...🤷‍♂️

BREN gun semi-auto build...vintage sniper? 1.5 MOA groups. VIDEO UP!

Neat. You got me enthused to dig a particular box out of the basement that’s been “project waiting” since the mid ‘90’s.

    ZFK55, a swiss tack driver !

Honestly, everything I’ve tried in my 1911 has been a success. I’ve used the Sierras, some old AMAXs I had collecting dust on the shelf, even some bulk Remington 165gr PSPCLs... It’s uncanny. It lIke’s everything. It’s set up with diopter sights (no glass) but it still doesn’t seem to matter...
