I would steer clear of M852 brass especially with a load that hot. The canaluring around the main body weakens the case and has been known to rupture with handloads. I've thrown away any M852 brass after firing factory load. 4635fps is astonishing speed out of a M24.

Well my loads are both using the Sierra 175gr SMK; 43.9gr of RL15 for a M118LR load and 43.0gr of IMR 4064 for a Mk316 load. Reloader 15 is a close facsimile to the blended powder in M118LR but IMR 4064 is actually spec for Mk316. Both loads are improved performance in my rifles than their...

Well the dies I use are Redding match Neck Only resizing dies. Do a little reading about Neck Sizing dies and the bushings they use which are a separate purchase from the dies. There are some videos, (DVDs) that can walk you through the whole process of match reloading. I can't remember at...

You probably need to bump the case shoulder back. Do it a little at a time so that it just fits nice. I primarily shoot handloads from mine and I have it down to less than .4 MOA at 800m and about .4-.5 MOA out to 1000m.

I had one of those stocks and I really didn't like it much. It was indeed a special version because it still used the AE 5rd magazine that is/was used in the M24A2. For me the stock just wasn't comfortable to use or carry. Granted the butt could be folded but that was small consolation for...

Well if you're wanting to match the scopes to the rings and their period, the rings on the 3.5-10 are the appropriate rings for the Ultra and visa versa. Both rifles are late models so which scope to which rifle is a crap shoot. A MIRS or a MARS would be period correct for the 3.5-10 for sure...

The M24 -10 TMs w/change pages already included still have the 1989 date on the cover and the change pages aren't dated so you're probably correct. The only actual change pages (to be manually added by user) I ever got were Change 1 and since I'm away home, I couldn't tell if the Chg 1 had a...

The EMA/ARD killFlash from Tenebraex came out in either 1988 or 1989 and was posted to the TM 9-1005-305-10 in Change 7. The EMA itself was posted in Change 5 of the -10 TM. I've posted these pics on all the iterations of this thread and and the Sniper's Hide website change up but here they...

There is a rare M24 EMA/ARD KillFlash on eBay right now. It's attached to a sun shield from what I can tell and not the EMA, but these things are few and far between.

When the M110s switched to the Leupold Mark 4 M5A2 ER/T 6.5-20x50 from the Leupold Mark 4 M2 FDE OEM scope they came with, I put one on my M24A2. For me, it's the ideal scope for the M24. The FDE Mark 4 M2 scope went onto my Mk12. The newer Mark 5 HDs 3-18x are a really good choice as well...

Ooh now that I look at those pics again the one on the bottom of each pic isn't right. Too tall. This is a genuine Remington front sight base.

Well that depends on which Iron Set you want, the Redfield or the OK Weber. The Redfield bases were the most prolific. That front sight base above that has the rounded edges is either a Redfield or a close facsimile or maybe even a genuine Remington. Can't see it well enough. BTW, Remington...

I had a short action version of that way back in the 1990s. I have to think it's a commercial version and not the contract version.
