I have a 6.5x55 Swede built on a 700 action using AICS 300 Win Mag mags, the mag lips need to be moved in. No problems feeding, and I can seat my bullets out more for the longer barrel throat.
I put Nitto Ridge Grapplers on my 13 Tundra. 20,000 miles hardly any wear. Tire shop manager said the loggers running on the gravel roads are getting 50-60K on them in 3/4 and 1 ton work trucks. they ride well, and have really good grip in the mud.
I have a HTR in 308, and it is one of my favorite rifles. Shoot sub 1/2” with Federal Gold Medal Match 168 gr. Bought the rifle from HS in 2004, and have approximately 1,900 rounds down the barrel. Some people don’t care for HS rifles, but it will shoot!
I had one built and its a laser! Old Rem 700 long action (1968) 30" Pac Nor barrel, HS PST stock, Jewel Trigger, and bottom metal for AI 300 WM mags. Shoots 95 gr V-Max .25 moa at 3550 fps
The other barrels I have besides factory barrels are White Oak, Rock Creek, and HS And the Pac-Nor are shooters. They clean easly and haven't had any issues. The conture is a custom spec from my gunsmith and its called a Straight Shooter either a # 1 or 2, its close to a Sendero conture.
I have 2 Pac-Nor barrels on custom builds. The first is a 30" 1 in 8 twist in 6.5x55 Swede, it shoots .30moa with 95 gr Vmax and .25 with 140 gr loads. The second is a 29" 1 in 8.5 twist 338 Lapua Mag. .5 moa at 100 havent got the chance to take it out to distance yet. Both profiles are sendro...
Straight Shooter Supply in North Bend Oregon 541-297-6500 Shawn and Bradey have built me two custom rifles 6.5x55 30" barrel on a 700 action and HS PST 026 stock 338 Lapua Mag 29" on a Stiller action in an XLR chassis Both rifles shoot like lasers, and I have another in the works with them.
I used an Eotech for 10 years and it worked great, but it was hard to see in brite sun light. Went to the Aimpoint Pro and love it, and it has a day light setting and brite day light is no problem. Both are good but the Pro is better in the sun.
I have 3 of the HS stock 1 PST 025 SA and 2 PST 026 LA. I like them better than the others listed, but thats just me. If you can try the stocks first and see which one feels the best for you, see if any members in your area to go shoot with. Only one of my HS stocks is bedded and it was a custom...
I had one built on an old ( 1967 ) action with a 30" Pac-Nor match 1 in 8 twist. Its a laser I have been loading the 95 V-Max at aprox 3500 fps -1/2 moa out to 600 yards on steel last week. 140 gr at 2950 fps were 1/4 at 100 yards. I had it built for varmints and playing on steel
I have had two rifles built in the last 2 years using Pac-Nor barrels, a 6.5x55 Swede and a 338 Lapua. The 6.5 is a soild .25 MOA shooter, and still playing with the 338 loads currently between .50 and .75 MOA. Both are 30" long and I love them. I am having another 6.5 Swede done in 22" long...
