    So can I run a slow burning powder in the Creedmoor and get the correct velocity AND benefit from extended barrel life like the Competition Match, or is the Creedmoor not capable of this? Meaning I have to run a fast burning powder in the Creedmoor.

    .243 is the parent cartridge, but the shoulder is blown forward to 31 degrees. I'm with you though, how does that combination increase barrel life compared to other variations?
