Question for those using Heritage Stone stoves, what is the max temp you are burning? 700f seems safe but is well beyond manufactures recommendation.

I'm curious about the ring near the meplat and the blunted meplat, causes me the question the seating stem. How is the nk tension? I'm using the same seater and haven't had any issues.

Project turned into 3 BBs and two other Bartleins. Just a note on threading and chambering: zero noticeable difference between BBs and the others. They cut like butter. A few pics of the project:

The pics are not detailed enough for anyone to know for sure. Based on what I see, you have nothing to worry about, especially given (1)"once fired" lapua and (2)every piece shows the same stretch marks. The brass must stretch and that is exactly where one would expect, hence discoloration. If...

My experience with Hornday 300wm brass is the pockets usually go first, so I agree with txtaxman's suggestion on resizing. Getting it sorted before Lapua arrives is a good idea
