Good luck. May need a new pin and training screws. I’ve not shot or looked at this rifle is so long I’m not sure if GAP sells field kits for it? Would be nice to have an extractor/spring, firing pin and spring, maybe an ejector , just in case. Anyone know off hand?
Not anymore . Once COVID hit and over landing went main stream these trucks doubled. In 2018 you couldn’t get $9k for a 140k Gx. Same truck today is $14+ if it’s not a pile of shit.
I ordered a recoil Atlas spring set as well as a heavier main and firing pin spring. My Prodigy runs well. Maybe one failure in the feed ramp every 350-400 rounds. None since replacing the mag springs, which were all twisted for some reason. The matches we run will have the pistol under water...
Correcting pin protrusion fixed mine. The culprit was my gunsmith was not familiar with these actions (they were new, mine was un-coated) and when he coated it, the pin was loose after reassembly. FWIW, I sent mine into GAP and asked them to check the entire bolt and Firing pin assembly...
Go back in this thread and check for the pin protrusion range. Possible your firing pin may need to be adjusted if you’re already using a 30 hanger. Edit: Hopefully the measurement wasn’t on Scout. I don’t recall what it’s supposed to be anymore, but a call/email to GAP should fix that...
My initial advice is find the reticle that speaks to you first. Then build your scope around it. You want Mil, do you want a tree? Something like the Tremor3? A simple stadia line? This choice is very likely going to guide toy to the brand you choose. That said, your mag range and scope...
I agree with you, but if you end up working in a big corporation when you hang up the spurs you better get ready to see some colossal shitbags get away with years of incompetence, and then usually promote out. Meritocracy has been all but killed by DEI and fucking HR lawyers. Back on topic...
Anyone else find it interesting we are still talking about a concept/practice that started with the Block1/MK12 SPR program over 20 years ago? Granted, the original SPR scopes are what we now call MPVO, (another widely debated topic) but the form factor and function is the same. All that...
Big dents from ejection? If so, you could remove the ejector and trim the spring. Personally, I’d rather have the 100% reliable ejection but I’m risk averse:) I just change the bolt every two barrels. It’s $40. Old one goes in one of my kit bags in case of a field failure.
If you compete in events with VTAC barricades, a piggyback red dot is often easier to get behind in mailbox slots, etc. also easier for me, when shooting under a vehicle if I have to lay my rifle flat. These are marginal for most, and I can’t claim it’s made me any more successful, but when...
With the recent explosion of 2011 pistols, I am curious if there is a strategy of making these pistols field reliable while maintaining decent accuracy? These seems to run on the ragged edge of spring strength for cycling, the 1911 style trigger seems to be a failure point for grit/silt...
Speaking generally here… This is one of the best reasons to shoot tactical biathlons. ( LARPing ? Maybe) You’re gonna run between 3-10 miles and do obstacles in this shit. If it can rub a sore sport or fall off, it will. Not combat by any means, but it’s a good way to shake down kit with...
Legion sells out quick too, which would also be fairly close. Ellis’s should be doable, if you don’t mind traveling. NC, SC and WV shouldn’t be too far. https://thegunrun.us/collections/tickets
