    I'm really liking the closeout deal on discontinued scopes offered by eurooptics right now. They have a 3-12x56mm for 1099, a 3-12x50mm for 1199, and a 4-16x50mm for 1299. I'm favoring the first one because it's cheaper and has more light transmission. Any reasons I should reconsider and buy...

    Greenhorn marksman...got a Savage 308..

    wow that's pretty cool! seems like the 3-12x56 is the most heavily discounted. Is there a reason I should favor the 3-12x50 or 4-16x50? weight savings on smaller objective lens being a serious issue? extra zoom range the main reason the 4-16 is 200 bucks higher? anyway thanks for that link...
