I have the 2.0 and really like it, except for the weight. I used the rifle this year for hunting and it got old quick. If you can find someone that has a complete rifle in either a 1.5 or 2.0 with the scope mounted it wouldn't hurt to get a feel for it and see if it meets your needs.

Better than carhart IMO. They have some great products with an easy exchange process if need be.

We use about an inch of a straw from McDonalds with wedges cut out of one end to help with the extruded powders like varget. You can search the hide or google and find the straw trick. Helped a lot with the overcharging.

I have an AICS 2.0 on my 700 SPS that I am thinking about replacing after this hunting season, because of the weight.

Re: Remington 700 SPS custom options As mentioned before, I chunked my stock for an AICS, replaced the trigger with a Timney 510 and topped it all with NF. Couldn't be Happier.

Re: Cleaning rod length? I bought a Dewey 36" and kept scraping my knuckles across the stock, traded it out for a 44" and am much happier.
