Last night I was able to take a decent deer for my area of Florida. This was my first time hunting with a 6.5 Grendel. Overall, I’m impressed. 211 yard broadside low shoulder shot . The deer only ran about 15 yards. I’m thankful for the deer expiring quickly because there was massive internal...
I was in my local gun store today and they had a Ruger 10/22 Takedown with the backpacker stock. Pretty cool looking setup, and it also has a threaded barrel. Just curious how these things shoot? Do they function well as suppressor host rifles? Return to zero after takedown/reassembly? Thanks
It is a unique problem that i have with this particular brake. If I remove it and shoot the rifle with just the thread protector, the groups shrink. I can shoot both these rifles with an APA brake and they shoot fine. It seems to be an issue with this ASR brake. I actually just chucked it up...
Anyone ever had a Muzzle brake ( ⬆️ The one in the thread title in specific) effect accuracy? I have tried this thing on two different rifles; a Tikka CTR 6.5 and a Bergara HMR .308, and on both rifles the groups opened up.
Got to take the 6.5 out to distance for the first time today. I can only get 840yrds at our home range but the results are promising. The barrel is SLOW shooting 140s, but I can’t complain about accuracy.
I primarily use a set of Vortex Binos but I recently got a set of Redfield Battlezones with the Mill Dot reticle. For a cheaper option, they are really nice.
I picked up on of the Nikon 4K’s today at Basspro with their Black Friday discount. This little thing is legit. Farthest thing I can see from my yard is a stand of trees at 2200 yards. Pings off of them almost instantaneously.
Got my nephew on his first deer this morning. I gave him the option of waiting for a buck but he was a little trigger happy. Tikka 243 in a Mountain Tactical stock @105 yards
