    Clear on the rear cap with a illuminated reticle allows you to shoot with the caps on, with both eyes open. Can be useful in some situations.

    I own a few Savages. I haven't had any reliability problems and they shoot very well. Only real drawback I see, is the heavy bolt lift if you are shooting PRS style. That being said I just picked up a Tikka 24"

    Thanks Frank.That's a good explanation. I have a Gen 2 with the EBR-2C, but haven't used it enough to form an opinion.

    According to this thread the Vortex EBR-2C is a gimmick christmas tree reticle, so it sucks?

    I like the T5, for the right price. I wouldn't pay 2K for one.

    Just heard IOR is coming out with a TREMOR3 reticle scope. Going to be a game changer.
