    Shot a Ruger #1 in 45/70 for many years ran a lot of hot 400 gr loads now I'm old and wore out and try to keep the Heavy loads under 2000 fps.

    300 gr Nosler bullet with 50.0 grs of RL-7, Good load without beating you to death.

    I just loaded 200 rds of 200 gr HC with 8.2 gr of Longshot, 1190 fps out of my G-20, I did a lot of looking and that seems to be one of the preferred loads, AA-9 is the other powder of choice with the 200gr cast.

    X-caliber 10" 1-5" barrel, Hybrid suppressor, I think it's the only Left handed ruger 300 blk around.

    SUB SONIC AMMO?

    I bought a ton of Winchester 42gr power point subs when they were closing them out, they shoot very good out of my Tikka and hit hard. Killed a lot of racoons with them.

    A red dot on a .44 mag carbine is my favorite deer rifle light and fast and knocks them down, all big pluses where I hunt.

    I've got a couple of 1.5X6X42 scopes that I think are the best for hunting in the woods/brush, my shots are seldom over 60 yrds, I also run Aimpoints on a couple of my hunting rifles.

    They were at 1050 fps out of my 16" barrel, never got to chrono out of the 10".

    I'm shooting a Ruger ranch rifle with a 10" 1-5" twist barrel on it and 190 gr Hornady's come apart. 220gr Makers work great, as do most 220-225gr bullets. haven't got around to trying supers yet.
