    35 Whelen, A great round being forgotten.

    I've been beating up this "collector item" for quite a few years. My go to for deer and bear in the woods of PA. 250gr interlok at approx 2450. Surprisingly, 3 shot groups consistently less than 1" @ 100yd Edit: Oops, forgot this was bolt action section.

    My almost 7yo with my 6 creed I built earlier this year. He ask me to take him with me deer hunting. Gonna have to put something together more his size for next season so he can hunt.

    That would be an option. But this will be mostly short range for deer till he gets a little older, probably start him simple with a red dot. 223/556 with a 77gr would work great and have less blast, cheaper ammo and better barrel life. I have a remington sps 223 varmint that I don't really use...

    Rifle Scopes Paint removal from scope

    I've also used citristrip to remove multiple layers of krylon. First application took off 95 percent. Second application removed the rest and had scope looking like new. (Matte finish Leupold)
