Re: 22 WMR Thanks all for the responses. I figured it was just cost restrictive. Since this weapon was given to me I'm not out the initial cost so I'll just burn a couple hundred in ammo and then start looking for a less expensive platform for practice over the long-haul.

I haven't seen much discussion about 22 WMR as a practice/varmint gun. From my understanding it packs a considerably bigger punch that the 22lr. So, is it just the cost of ammo that holds people back or is there something else I'm missing? Just curious because I have a Marlin 883n 22WMR that...
