Re: Sig sauer problem Ok, got word from the gunsmith, the problem was the slide release lever. There was a small burr preventing it from being fully inserted into the gun. got that taken care of and the pistol functions flawlessly. Thanks for all the input guys!

Re: Sig sauer problem Very true, it should function flawlessly, and even if I get a new one and it doesn't group at 70 yards, that's what my LMT Defender 2000 is for i'm taking it back to be looked at tomorrow. I'll keep you all posted on what the problem actually ends up being. By the way...

I just picked up a sig sp2022 9mm two days ago. I've run 100 rounds through it. 50 were winchester white box and 50 were rem umc. Both types of ammo shot ve ry accurately however with both, the slide failed to lock back about 60% of the time. Any ideas?

Here's a gunsmithing-ish question. I'm planning on purchasing a 16" heavy barrel for my LMT Defender 2000. I am going to free float it. Can I install a mid-length handguard to make less barrel visible? Or am I stuck with only carbine-length options? Reasons for why or why not? Thanks!
