    Powder not fully burning?

Hey all, I tried searching for my answer first but was unable to find a suitable answer. I'm working up some loads for my savage 10fp .308, 24" barrel. I'm using speer boat tail 150 gr bullets, imr 4064 powder, cci large rifle primers and assorted brass. I have only recently started reloading an...

    Rifle Scopes Vortex Viper PST

Re: Vortex Viper PST FFP is not a requirement. I rarely shoot unknown ranges and when I do need to range something, it's usually far enough away that the ranging on 16 power works just fine. I've done a fair amount of research, and for the money, this really appears to be one hell of an...

    Rifle Scopes Vortex Viper PST

Hey all, This may be rehashing old news but in all my searching, I couldn't find an answer. Back in mid 2010, the Viper PST 4-16x50 scopes supposedly had production stop to take a look at QC and try to fix some issues with the reticle being canted, or slightly off as far as ranging is...

Sidearms & Scatterguns Sig sauer problem

Re: Sig sauer problem Ok, got word from the gunsmith, the problem was the slide release lever. There was a small burr preventing it from being fully inserted into the gun. got that taken care of and the pistol functions flawlessly. Thanks for all the input guys!

Sidearms & Scatterguns Sig sauer problem

Re: Sig sauer problem Very true, it should function flawlessly, and even if I get a new one and it doesn't group at 70 yards, that's what my LMT Defender 2000 is for i'm taking it back to be looked at tomorrow. I'll keep you all posted on what the problem actually ends up being. By the way...

Sidearms & Scatterguns Sig sauer problem

Re: Sig sauer problem Weaver stance, i've had multiple people shoot it with the same results. None of us were limpwristing. I have noticed there was already wear and a large burr on the part of the magazine that pushes the slide lock up. It is well greased, and even when I'm manually...

Sidearms & Scatterguns Sig sauer problem

I just picked up a sig sp2022 9mm two days ago. I've run 100 rounds through it. 50 were winchester white box and 50 were rem umc. Both types of ammo shot ve ry accurately however with both, the slide failed to lock back about 60% of the time. Any ideas?

    Free Float Handguard

Here's a gunsmithing-ish question. I'm planning on purchasing a 16" heavy barrel for my LMT Defender 2000. I am going to free float it. Can I install a mid-length handguard to make less barrel visible? Or am I stuck with only carbine-length options? Reasons for why or why not? Thanks!

    Newbie question

Hey all, I'm new to the hide, and I have a question for everybody. I have a savage 10fp in 308 that I purchased a few years ago. I am looking into a new stock for it and I want to know (A) what stocks seem to improve the accuracy on this rifle the best and (B) what kind of accuracy gains did you...
