    Going from memory I think 316 ss has a Yield strength in the 40 KSI and I think, repeat think 416 is in the 80 KSI or higher range.

    It depends on your gunsmiths lathes spindle bore and tooling. I have one lathe that can't, and one that can by using a spider. Check with smiths around your area.

    I am not a fan of digital, just personal preference. I use 12" Mitutoyo daily and have 3 or 4 sets around the shop. anytime i can buy a set right in a pawn shop I do.

    there are set dimensions for the bolt faces but i don't have them in front of me know and I dont trust my memory. the 6.5 Creedmoor uses the most common one, but ask the mfg to be sure!

    Inspect the action as soon as it arrives to make sure you got what you ordered and that all of the parts and pins are in the box and everything fits together. If the action is not stainless and you handle it any get some oil on it fast !
