PRL 87 gr Bullets load data

Never fired a prl, but I shoot 87vmaxes at 1k pretty regularly.A 9 twist will be about perfect. I shoot 3 243's right now in 7.5/8/9.125tw the 9 is the factory Rem barrel and it shoots 105 Amaxes great to 1K, but I get better accuracy out of my factory gun with the 87's. I had the brrl set back...

Rifle Scopes Bushnell HDMR 3-21, swfa 5-20, or a comparable Vortex

I'll give the Bushy the reticle win for sure, no doubt's. I love my G2 ret. If I could put that reticle in a NF NXS 3.5-15 I'd be on a cloud. I do like the PST's reticle as well, but when you crank the pwr the Bushy has the edge over the PST by quite a bit. But I'm telling you the NF SHV with...

Rifle Scopes Bushnell HDMR 3-21, swfa 5-20, or a comparable Vortex

Own a bushy, the PST, and just sold a SS. In that price range I'd go NF anyday. I know you didn't mention them, but the glass on the HDMR is fair, the PST good on low X, and the SS, I just didn't like the reticle at all. Love the MOAR, Velocity 1000, and several others. The H59 is just too busy...

    Rifle Stocks

Amen on the Manners. I had a preorder on the Xray, and said I was gonna be a lil late, and was told I'd be fine for the intro price, whenever I ordered, just to use my code. Well when I got my $ together and tried to order it wouldn't let me order for intro price, so I said to heck with this...

    Accurate mag - remington 700 sport-tact chassis

I just talked with the owner a few weeks ago, and their sales are more Military than civilian. He did send me a cpl mags that I'm testing out right now, and I like em, esp for price vs AICS. I may be running that chassis before too long, as I have gotten some good words back, and will hopefully...

    Another AR Advice

As you probably know your buffer isn't gonna count on anything, except what stock your running. M4 stock, 16" H buffer for middy, and H/H2 for Carbine length. A2 is gonna be the longer buffer. I shoot H2 buffers in ALL my Carbines, regardless the Caliber, and H's in most my midlength barrels. It...

Best AR15 Platform Upper Assembly (Excluding 223/556)

If your wanting to shoot cheaper, look at the 5.45x39 (AK74rd) I ordered 2 from Adams Arms, with the new Voodoo Tac barrels on em, and the one I have took out of the box is shooting moa with surplus ammo. The other upper is still in the box. Also I'm a 6.8 fan, and own uppers from RRA,DD...

    **ROUND4 !!** 100YARD+, SEMI-AUTO, 6group, 30round SHOOTOUT!

Thanks Elfster, and everyone else. I never really shoot 30rds at 100yds, unless I have a chance of winning something back to pay for the time and ammo, lol. I try to shoot everyday, but the .223 that John helped me with is just a laser, and I shot the 1st 30 thinking it was still going on, but...

    Mind my GAP?

Nice stick, I'm glad it don't have a T2A on it or I'd be trying to buy it,lol. We all remember our 1st custom build, "at least I do" 20yrs ago I had a 6mm Rem built to shoot 70-80gr pills, and Dave Tooley built it. Man did it shoot. I probably bought 20-25 off the shelf rifles in different...

Any luck with heavies in a 1:9 twist .223?

Also remember some folks are saying they shoot fine in their 1/9tw bolt guns. In a bolt gun you can run the pressures up higher to give that pill a lil more kick than a gasser, and also you have to remember that it's 16" as well. Much different than a 20" esp a 26". Also "ksthomas" is exactly...

Any luck with heavies in a 1:9 twist .223?

I've had 9tw that did pretty decent with 69's but my best luck is with 1/8 from 50-77gr, and they all shoot like a laser. A WYLDE chamber is gonna shoot a bit better than a NATO in my experience. For the 80's and even 90's, I'd go no higher than a 7tw, and a 6.5tw if possible. I have a Noveske...

CA dealing directly with Mexican President

There everywhere even here in NC, Or should I say especially in NC! That would be the only way I'd move to Ca. if there was a free fire zone, but I don't think NC's cans, 100rd mags, would go over to well, and I don't think I'd shoot an AR if I had to run 5rd mags, and push a bullet button to...

Bullistic calculators what is the best?

Just download Strelok for free. Shoot to max range, and everything in between, and make a chart. If you know your MV, BC, Brrl tw. etc go to JBM and input your data, and print you a dope chart, and tape it on your stick. But seriously it's "Ballistic", "stare" and "wear" glasses. Or just order a...

Always MIL vs MOA EXCEPT group size?

MOA is just closer to an ", and differs at each distance. In other words an moa or "minute" is approx 1" (1.047?) If you have a stick that is a .5moa gun this means is shoots .5"@100/1"@200/5"@1000yds etc. Also a min is a finer subtension than a mil.
