I had an OBR 5.56 and a 7.62 PredatOBR. Sold them both. Both shot okay, not great, however my larger issue was the inability to run suppressed consistently. FTF issues. My expensive semi auto’s turned into single shot guns.

Appreciate all the feedback. My biggest concern was the ballistics for a hunting set up which has been answered. I don’t foresee a 400+ yard shot anytime soon but kids do grow up fast.

I should have mentioned I’m running a can on it. I started looking for a 20” barrel and stumbled on the 16.5” barrel. I was dead set on a 20” barrel but now have second thoughts.

I was thinking it should be a good set up she could run forever. The ammo situation sucks. I planned ahead and have the ammo I need for the rifles I run. I was not expecting her to have blow back issues with a piston 6.8 AR.

Forgot to mention that. She’s 10 and will be mainly used for hunting but will also be used for punching steel plates during the summer. I found a Remington 700 at a local gunshop with a 20” barrel. Threaded barrel which is important so I can throw a can on it.
