Watch Out for Scammers!
We've now added a color code for all accounts. Orange accounts are new members, Blue are full members, and Green are Supporters. If you get a message about a sale from an orange account, make sure you pay attention before sending any money!
That's what I mean about their site. "SRF" is never listed on their site's product page. All I see is a chassis available for Savage E receivers. Regardless.- how's the weight? And I assume it takes Mil spec tub but can you confirm?
I slept on the MDT Black friday/blem sale and now thinking I'll go the Rigid Alloy route on their next sale. Does anyone have experience with their chassis for the Mkii? (not the one made for CZ). Their website is lacking so if anyone cares to send any info they have on theirs, that'd be...
It really seems like Athlon is where it's at these days for budget scope. I'll give Doug a call on Monday. Thanks everyone for the input. Now we just need to get Cameraland to carry rings so I can order everything from the same place.
Ah. I thought vortex would repair/place anything (even if my 5yr old dropped it) but athlon was more of a "defect or normal conditions." That review is what got me interested in the Athlon originally. The Talos makes more sense for what I'm going for (vs the Argos) based on that review.
Have you shot behind the DB Tac? This is a tough decision. There doesn't seem to be a clear winner. I don't care for the illumination feature so it really comes down controls and glass.
If you had the opportunity, would you get the Talos again or would you consider the Vortex? I was 100% on the Talos but now heavily considering the Vortex just for their warranty. It being on a 22 also means it'll be the rifle my 5 year old learns on. Having that warranty seems like a win.
I spoke to Doug at Cameraland and he was helpful and offered a great price on the Talos BTR 4-14. I came home tonight and was looking around at the forums on the Talos and came across the new Vortex Diamondback Tactical 4-16 FFP. They seem similar and the price is essentially a wash (plus, I...
I totally agree with this. I asked them about arca plates and was told to contact another company since they're making what I am looking for. The Element is a great chassis but it definitely felt like they're just not into supporting it and rather steering people towards the Envy. And I, like...
Yeah, the key is using the existing threaded holes in the Element. The plate would go from the magwell to the 2nd hole. All told, it looks like it would be about 7" or 8" (total guess without looking at the distance to the 2nd threaded hole).
Yup, that's exactly what I want. Hoping there's a few more people interested. Todd was great and said they'd figure it out so it'd be cool to get a handful of interested folks to get one. He said they'll be black and would attach at the first two screw holes.
