Help me figure this out. Bulged case head.

Must have missed my update post a year latter lol ( it got put on back burner) It's not as pronounced as the first time but it's there with factory federal ammo. Maybe I didn't catch it on the first factory stuff that I shot through it a year ago

Help me figure this out. Bulged case head.

Thanks for the info, I just happen to have it on hand as RL 17 is what I use in my 20 inch 375 ruger and get great velocities. I ended up getting a few pounds of 6.5 stabal to try out. I need to pick up some lighter bullets and some h4350, I've got 140 eldm and 143 eldx bullets that I run...

Yeah definitely back burner. Cone looks to be concentric to the bore

Help me figure this out. Bulged case head.

Update. Shot factory federal 123gr American eagle and did a full work up from a minimum load in the Hornady manual with 6.5 staball. Federal showed a less pronounced ring around the brass and mild book load started showing a more pronounced ring starting at 39.7 gr of 6.5 staball with 143 eldx...

Rifle Scopes Lightest midrange hunting scopes

Thanks for the info. Only reason I was looking at those scopes was my main goal is to build the rifle as light weight as possible. Those scopes you listed would be great, but they are 3/4 lb heavier than the ones I listed. I was hoping to keep the scope around 13 oz as I've already got...

Rifle Scopes Lightest midrange hunting scopes

I'm looking for a light weight optic for my new hunting rifle in 7mm mag, shots will be under 600 yards. I'm looking at leupold vx3hd, but would like a reticle that is can use for hold over. Other one I'm looking at is a trijicon accupoint 3-9x40 with mil dot reticle. that's 13.4 oz Any other...

    1600$ 1/2 moa 308? With box ammo

Good at recoil reduction and keeping the muzzle down, but lots of gas back toward the shooter. Have one on a 18 inch large frame AR in 308 and when shooting prone, take the shot then close my eyes while the dust and gas cloud rolls by my head...I'm not sure I like it.

Surgeon XL, AI AX chassis mag issues

I'll give it a try, that massive recoil lug is tight in the chassis, so not sure she will move , but worth trying. Thanks

Surgeon XL, AI AX chassis mag issues

I'm having some problems, I have a Surgeon XL that I put into a AIAX chassis and have issues with the bolt not coming back far enough to get completely behind the rim of the case. How would you guys go about fixing this? Thanks
