Thanks King for the phone consult. I kept the 60mm. There are no trees here, nothing but miles long unimpeded views. I can live with it being less useful up close. I would be disappointed if I had something that wouldnt perform well at longer distances.
It has been a long time. Im still here. I own 2 PVS-14s. I should clarify. I dont need to shoot coyotes at 800 meters. I hope to identify and shoot an animal that is deer to coyote size between 200-400 meters. Obviously I want to be certain of my target. I really just want to make sure I get...
I have done tons and tons of reading and research. Still, I cant decide what to do. This is a ton of money for me. Its not something I have been able to buy before, but I now used money from selling something else to purchase it. I bought the Trijicon IR Hunter MK3 60mm scope. It came...
you didnt get enough answers out of the other two threads you started on the same topic? http://www.snipershide.com/shooting/snipers-hide-bolt-action-rifles/268840-lh-long-range-rifles-should-i-consider.html

when I first opened this thread thats what I was thinking. First I didnt think it was really the right area for this particular thread and then kind of tacky. Did the cops shoot this guy from hundreds of yards out, maybe a mile, two? if not its no big deal that a certain rifle was used...
You mentioned weight of the Mcree's chassis. I own 4 of their chassis and I love them , their G5 tmag folder for a 700 weighs 5 pounds. no folder 4.5. then if you want to go lighter they have the ar buttstock compact chassis for 2 lbs 8 ounce without the ar buttstock attached.
Fedex just dropped off my new build from GAP. (.308) I sent them the components 7 weeks ago. I sent them a bartlein barrel, left handed defiance action, timney trigger and mcree's tmag folder. I had them ceracote the barrel and action, bed the recoil lug and tune the trigger. I love this...
Home Page Pawnee Sportsmans club has a 1000 yard range now. you dont have to be a member, but membership is really cheap. I dont have first hand knowledge of being a member, just shot there for a class and a night shoot with modarmory. I just go outside and shoot a 1000.
I bought a couple from a local surplus store for $60 a piece. in perfect condition, but to decommission them they cut the lines when they reach so many drops, Im sure.(but could be wrong)
