In the old USMC windage formula they use a math constant of 15 to 500 yards, then it changes for distance. I have seen different numbers for different loadings of 30 caliber ammo. Any way, the question I have is what is the formula to find this constant number? I shoot the 30-06, 7.62x54, and...
Re: Old russian nspu I have one as well, its a starlight scope. You can use an external IR with it. If you can, I recommend removing the recital assembly and clean the lens. If it hasn't been done it makes a difference.
Re: nspu.. 51? I have the earlier model, I think its the 34. I have it mounted on my PSL. Its a great scope. I cleaned the reticle on mine it greatly improved the clarity and sight picture.
I received the upper and case for the DPMS A2 panther classic as a partial trade on a pistol I sold. I've got if for sale in a couple places (not enough posts to sell here yet), but if I do decide on keeping it whats a good way to scope it. I've seen the original style carry handle scopes from...
Re: What's your EDC knife? I carry a CRKT M21 now. I use to carry two of the Recon 1s, there a tough ass knife. I don't like there new handle otherwise I would have gotten a new Cold Steel when I broke mine.
Re: conceal carry with reloads? Its like this according to the local Des moines cops any way. First thing that they look at is your attitude at the scene of the shooting. After that it goes to your gun, was it modified. Hair trigger, why did you need that, laser sight, why did you need that...
I have one it was made in 82 and I want glass. Ok I have glass on it but I have some crappy modified mounts holding it on. Any one know of any better mounts for the skinny dovetail it has for a one inch tube scope. I know I could drill and tap a better rail on top of the receiver but Id like to...
Re: barrel torque OK I've seen a barrel wrench before, but I've never seen one that will accept a torque wrench. How does one torque the barrel to the specific poundage?
Re: Reloading for night vision Yes it would but I live in an infringed state. Only LEO and dealers, I'd like to change that but I have no idea how. I plan on calling the NRA to find out. Aside from that there's just the issue of weight on a skinny barrel.
Re: Reloading for night vision I have a Vortex on the way for my PSL. I'm not just looking to accommodate the NV. I still want to be able to hit my target, just not light up the whole valley in the process. I have a load with IMR 3031 I need to try yet. It should perform well being a fast...
