I’ve had good results in my 223 Tikka that has been re-barreled with 25" Med Palma Bartlein 7 twist using a very similar load. 25.4 gr Staball Match and a 80.5 Berger, 1.958 BTO +- 2830fps and really low SDs. No one was more surprised than me when my first 5 shots for score at a 600yard F Class...

I really like the Bushnell Elite 1-6.5x scopes. I have 2 that I used for 3gun and the hold overs work really well with 77gr ammo @ 2700fps. For 308 I really like the Vortex Razor 1-6 with the JM reticle, a bit heavy but a great scope.

I asked a similar question a while back in another thread, Tikka Varmint 8 twist. I had pretty good results with 77gr Nosler CCs but 75 and 80gr ELDMs were very dissapointing. Lots of folks have reported very good results with them though.

Thanks for the info on your 223 Scout! I'm a Steyr Scout lover, I have 1 in 308 and one in 376. Been pondering getting one in 223 but not a lot of good info on them that I've found.
