I am still in the process of collecting parts for my first AR-15 build. My question is are all lower/ upper parts (pins and springs, not trigger, etc) more or less the same? My guess is that mil-spec parts are mil-spec parts largely except for perhaps the springs? Would appreciate your input...

One would think they would have "optimized" their reporting by now since there have been so many versions. Sad thing is that most people in the country these days are too ignorant to even know they are being manipulated.

Re: Rainier Arms I ordered a Mega upper/lower receiver set the day of the shooting so I was a little ahead of the rush. However, I called and they told me if I could add it to my cart then it was definitely in stock. My FFL received it in less than a week.

I am contemplating my first build versus buying a complete rifle. So, should I go with a 14.5" bbl and permanently attach the flash hider or buy a 16" bbl? If I go with the 14.5" bbl, how hard is it to pin the flash hider? Do you have to drill most bbls to do this and does it have to be welded...
