What was wrong with the factory barrel?

Sounds like the company either doesn't understand what you need to do your job, or doesn't care. Or they're just cheap or shady. For whatever reason, if they aren't willing or able to provide you the tools to do your job, it's time to find another gig. That's a huge red flag.

My original plan, was to put the BRN 22 receiver into the Fajen stock with the Ruger CHF barrel. But I didn't remember that the Fajen was bedded for the factory Ruger action, and the Kidd barrel was thermal fit to that receiver. So it went into the Fajen stock, and the heavy barrel BRN22 setup...

Just got in from vacation. Haven't had time to get to the range with it, but had to play with it. It clocked the salt from a freaking bug assault. It's a wild time to be alive.

Was it pretty warm that day? Here locally, my CCI SV generally stays subsonic. But when I go to south GA at low elevation in warmer weather it will break the sound barrier and produce the telltale sonic crack.

What ammo were you using in the Tikka? Mine is ridiculously quiet suppressed.
