    375/ 338 LM for ELR

A 338LM Improved case neck up to 375? Or a some other case with a rebated rim?

    375/ 338 LM for ELR

I shoot mostly KD target sports so I don't hang here much. I do shoot some PRS when I can and I am looking into some ELR shooting. I have an opportunity to pick up a custom 338 LM action for 1/2 price. I've been pondering an ELR rifle for a while. Thinking of a 375 based on a 338LM Improved...

New style handguards and front sights

Re: New style handguards and front sights MM Interestig set up. I never thought of usig an A2 FS ahead of the gas port. Every inch of radius helps especially after about 35. I'll have to see if the barrel contour I have coming will mount it. I may do it. Do you have a problem with the sight...

New style handguards and front sights

Re: New style handguards and front sights Thanks. I'm after as much sight radius as I can get and could only find a mid length barrel. I found a Seekens MCSR 12". I hope that will stay put.

New style handguards and front sights

I'm in the middle of a 16" carbine build. I'm using irons as my primary sight and It looks as though I'm going to have to use a rail mounted fixed front. I'm looking at the new smooth side / top rail handguards. Most of them (Troy, MI, Samson) all use a bushing that clamps over the stock barrel...

TRG22's dressed up for Ftr Irish Open competition

Re: TRG22's dressed up for Ftr Irish Open competition Wow, I'd did not think there would be much f-class disussion over here. The guys at LR.com would like to hear about f-class stuff going on over there. The cans being legal suprises me. Nice rigs Is this at the new "national" range? Is...

    Cerakote R700 bolt

Re: Cerakote R700 bolt Cool, as long as the bolt/reciver clearance is around 0.006" or so I guess I'll give it a try.

    6mm 5R rifling??

Re: 6mm 5R rifling?? I have had two Bartlien 5R barrels and like them very much. If they have an advantage it's that they are a little easier on the bullet. This may have an advantage in situations where the bullet is under alot of stress. If I can wait for a barrel I will order a 5R. Mike

    Cerakote R700 bolt

Re: Cerakote R700 bolt AZ brought up a good point in a discussion. It's not really a R700 it's a Stiller Predator. The bolt clearance is about 1/2 my R700. Is anybody have semi-custom with a Cerakoke bolt and having sticking issues? Are Cerakote bolts sticky in general? Mike

    Cerakote R700 bolt

It looks like a lot of guys are Cerakote-ing their bolt body/handle/shroud assembly. I have a bolt that really needs a color change, is this OK to do? Does it hold up? I assume you don't do the lug area. Any advice from experience in this area would be a great help. Mike

    Rifle Scopes New scope recommendations???

Re: New scope recommendations??? The guys here know much more than I do, but, I just went down this road so I'll chip in. I shoot with some guys that have Super Snipers and they seem to hold up. It seems you have to get to 800 or so to get a "good" scope. The Weaver Tactical came recomended...

Rifle Scopes Same old Topic - Different guy - TacScopes

Re: Same old Topic - Different guy - TacScopes The SIII was scrached off due to the SFP reticle, even with the new turrets and a good quality reputation for the price range.

Rifle Scopes Same old Topic - Different guy - TacScopes

Re: Same old Topic - Different guy - TacScopes I sort of hate to leave unfinished threads. Well, I did more work on the subject and all the stuff under 1,000 had something lacking I was unwilling to accept. The Vortex PST (FFP,MOA/MOA) was the only one that really met the features I wanted...
