    Re: SOCOM II I have a few hundred rounds through mine and no problems, open sights head shots @ 100 yards are no problem,someone with better eyes could do a lot better, I use it mostly for walking up on hogs with a cheep red dot and it does very well

    Re: Optic for a .22 rimfire natches has a truglo 6-24 for like $80 to your door, not the best but great for a 22 and picking the tree rats out of trees

    what scope would be a good choice for the socom 16 using the rail forward of the receiver ? I would like a 1-4x or something close I have a red dot on it now.

    Re: Savage or Ruger? the 1022 is my fav but I got about 750 after new barrel/stock/trigger kit/mag release/and charging handle but if you are going to leave stock then go with something else

    Re: Whats better bolt action or semi-auto? semi is the way to go ,the 10/22 is great if you want to sup it up I've got 750 in mine and love it, but factory it has a bad trigger and stock. There are better guns out of the box, but the ruger has endless aftermarket parts,barrels,and add ons
