Glad someone brought this up. Saw the “WLR” in the pic on one of the notes and thought there’s the problem. I have a f’d up bolt face from using Winchester primers also. It’s kind of a known thing.

After talking with Richard@cst and the other replies here it seems like if I run my normal for me height rings (1.2x -1.3x) it should work. I was mainly worried about the short length of rail in the front of the action and the short tube between the bell and the erector of the scope not giving...
So I’m guessing the objective bell was hitting the front of the rail and higher rings ( along with adjustable comb) would have solved the problem? Thanks
