Been looking for something similar this probably as close as it gets has moa turrets and 30mm tube and weighs 22.7oz. Veracity Scopes - rifle scopes, handgun scopes, hunting scopes by Burris Optics
I've had the same experience I bought a S&B 5-25 a few years ago I was absolutely not impressed I tried it in various different conditions low light, night, mid day, short range, long range, extreme long range. To my eyes it was absolutely the same as one of my 1k scopes. FWIW out of all the...
I have heard some people say that the 6-24s have the better glass. I have the 6-24 and my dad has 4-16 and they look to have the same clarity to my eyes.
Yeah you screw your bases into the holes where the black screws are. As far as the bases being wide I'm not as I have different mounting system but I'd think its alright.
Another vote for the tikka t3 they're lightweight, accurate, smooth action perfect hunting rifle at a good price IMO. The rings that come with them suck but there are plenty of good mounting options out there for them.
I use a Sierra Game King 140 gr and reloader 19. It works for my tikka I've tried many pounds of H4831sc and was just was never happy with it. However many other .270s love H4831sc and 130 gr bullet my gun just doesn't like it for some reason.

I bought a pair for my dad last year. We took them hunting with us this year I would recommend them. We were able to spot many deer with them decent glass, no problems with them what so ever.
My tikka .270 will have the Bushnell 6500 2.5-16 in mildot next year. Best of both worlds great low end for a nice wide field of view and enough top end to shoot long plus capped turrets. I hunted the with same rifle and a 6.5-24 viper pst this year and missed an opportunity on a big buck I...
