    Acceptable variance in velocity?

I knew that had to be a horrible SD. I was going to test some factory 147gr loads just to see what sort of SD I got out of them just for giggles. So seating the bullet to make the OAL 2.800 isn't necessarily what I should be doing? Do I have to trim brass after each time it's fired from the...

    Acceptable variance in velocity?

I'm surprised that 42.3gr of powder is too much in LC brass considering it still quite a bit below where the bullet is seated to achieve the 2.800 OAL. I assumed all charges were closer to optimal when the powder was closer to the bullet, am I mistaken? I certainly appreciate all of your time...

    Acceptable variance in velocity?

What's the difference with the primers? I have 1000 of these, is something wrong with them? Shouldn't I be able to get a solid 2675fps out of this brass/bullet/powder combo without being close to over pressuring? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Acceptable variance in velocity?

Acceptable variance in velocity? CCI #34 primers OAL is 2.800 Brass is once or twice fired LC As far as the load goes, I can't find any book listing the hornady 168 hpbt so I use the Sierra 168 hpbt info. In two different books my load is over the max suggested load and in the ramshot book...

    Acceptable variance in velocity?

Hornady 168gr bthp 42.3 gr TAC POF P308 20" Borrowed the chrono and didn't do any other sort of test, just quick trip to the woods with some paper. Based on research I was expecting speeds more in the 2650 range. Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Acceptable variance in velocity?

Hey guys, trying to work up a load to achieve the ultimate accuracy from my rifle and have a question. What is considered an acceptable spread in muzzle velocity from round to round? I recently shot eight rounds that had identical charge weights and these are my chrono readings: 2569 2510...

    POF P308 FTF problems

Ok guys. Called POF a few days ago to try and get some insight. I had cleaned it before I had these problems but Jeremy urged me to clean it again and be sure to get a good layer of oil on the contact points of the BCG and the lug. Did basically the cleaning procedure seen on the video above...

    POF P308 FTF problems

I'm not sure of the specific spring, bought rifle length buffer, tube, and spring as a kit with the PRS stock. I'll see if I can find out but I was told they are all the same. I know the piston moves freely because it slides back and forth when the bolt is locked back. I'm assuming that's...

    POF P308 FTF problems

I only shot 50 rounds before changing the stock. I had 2-3 problems and they were all out of one magazine, both FTF and FTE but I hoped it was just a fluke. I swapped the stock and have since bought two more mags(Pmags) and had problems with all 3 mags today.

    POF P308 FTF problems

Alright guys, had a difficult day today at the range. I set out to test some loads I put together to try and find the sweet spot for my new rifle. Before today, I have only put about 50 rounds through her and they were all 147g milsurp. After shooting the first 50 with 3 FTF/FTE problems...
